The power of a good song.

I got to go see Nichole Nordeman this past weekend which was a treat. I always enjoy seeing my favorite artists perform their work. Nichole has written a few brilliant songs, and she has such a gentle humble presence. I almost didn't go, but I was really glad I did. She has this one song, called "I Am", that talks about all the stages of her life and how God has been there and remained the same. I love it. It's such a reminder to me that when life is breaking out in chaos, God is the same as He was when I never felt happier. And when everything is mundane, He is the same as He was when I experienced a dream come true. The song is a few years old now, so not only does it serve as a reminder of who God is, but it has memories carefully stored in it of actual experiences when I listened to the song and was blessed.
