I'm off to my hometown for the weekend and I couldn't be happier. It's been far too long. I'll be seeing Jen and meeting her son for the very first time. I'll be having Ted Drewes frozen custard. I'll be freezing to death. I'll be happy to be in the place I have lived the longest of all the places I have lived in my life by far. Iowa being a close second, but most of those were formative years so I don't quite remember them. I remember when I moved to St. Louis I was the only one of us kids who was happy about it. My love for metropolitan areas was realized at a young age. St. Louis will always be my hometown, though other places have carved out spots in my heart throughout the years. I know I heard it's the most dangerous city...wow what a time to choose a homecoming, but there's a bit of a smalltown feel to this city (most people who grow up in St. Louis don't leave it) and I love it dearly.
So I'll return to the blogging world next Wednesday and hopefully full of stories and reflections to share. Have a great weekend everyone!
