I just ran into an old co-worker at the sandwich shop where I was getting my lunch. It was really weird. I actually do see people from my old job from time to time, since it's just down the road from where I work now. But I've never spoken to them. Normally, I just see them and spend the whole of five minutes in line trying to remember where I know them from. (I only worked there for 4 months)
She spoke to me first, though, and told me I looked as if I'd lost some weight! Instantly, I remembered why I always liked her. She told me the company is really busy and my old boss has gone through about 10 assistants since me. Wow.
I'm thankful for my job now, which is nothing like that job. Life is good when you remember to be thankful.
Tonight I'm going to see Shaun Groves.
I'm happy it's Friday. Anyone have any good weekend plans?

I guess your old boss just couldn't find anyone who did as good of a job as you did.
We're having a big birthday party weekend. Tomorrow is my daughters joint birthday party. No, it has nothing to do with marajuana...
They're birthday's are only a few weeks apart (they're 23 months apart) so we have one big party right in the middle. Tomorrow our house will be invaded with a bunch of preschoolers.
After that, we have two more parties to attend....
Should be fun.
Have fun at the concert Amy.
life is good indeed! This is also birthday weekend in our house -- my husband just had his birthday and we celebrated together tonight with a big dinner!! Yes, enjoy yourself tonight, Amy!
Well, I came down with a cold, so no big plans here. We have a friend (an older guy) who just had a hip replaced, so we visited him last night after a yummy dinner at Friday's. That has been the extent of our excitement this weekend.
Kat, I think I distinctly remember reading about your girls' joint bday party last year! Good luck!
As it turns out, I'm well enough to travel. So tomorrow I'm leavin' on a jet plane. I know I'll be back on Saturday.
fancypants,
It was hot, but I think all the kids had a great time. We had pools, sprinklers, slip and slides and the key ingredient to any good kid party: sugar.
Friday was Andrea's birthday, and Brent arranged for us all to meet up at Applebees for dinner. It surprised her to see all of us (six adults and three kiddos)there for her. It was an ordeal keeping the boys occupied with dinner, but it was all well worth it!
As I see, it WAS a popular weekend for birthdays!
Happy Birthday to everyone's family members! Glad the party was a success Kat and the dinner was a success Jen! Fancypants...feel better! :)
I had fun Friday and a good rest of the weekend as well.
Euphrony, hope your trip was safe!
