Golden Globes

I was just having a look at the Golden Globe nominees, and sometimes I just don't understand award shows. I was happy to see recognition for the excellent Damages and Pushing Daisies, but who decided Katherine Heigl was such a great actress? I actually find her to be a weakish link out of an otherwise very talented ensemble.

Anyone else have any thoughts? (there's no point in talking about the movies, I don't think I've seen any of them!)
