I've heard rumblings in my time about how Christian fiction (like, supposedly, Christian music) is inferior to every other other genre.
As is probably obvious, I don't agree. I think there is actually some excellent Christian fiction out, and some not so excellent stuff, just like in every other genre.
And, actually, I think both the writing skill and the risks being taken in Christian fiction right now are on the upswing. There is some amazing talent out there.
If you think that in order for a book to be classified as Christian fiction that it must contain a conversion scene, than you may not have read Christian fiction for a good long while.
I'm saying all of that to say that I've joined the Christian Fiction Blog Alliance, along with Fiction in Rather Short Takes and my goal is to help spotlight and maybe introduce you to some quality books that you might consider reading for yourself.
But, I'd like to know if you do read Christian fiction, who your favorite authors are, and what your favorite books are. And if you don't, why not? Thanks everyone, I really hope you respond.

I LOVE Christian fiction.
Bodie and Brock Thoene have a series called First Light. Set when Jesus is alive, told by the blind beggar whose eyes were healed when Jesus made the mud. There are 6 books so far and they are incredible.
Terri Blackstock is another favorite.
Colleen Coble, Brandilynn Collins, Karen Kingsbury, and Francine Rivers all do amazing work.
I am an avid reader but was troubled by the themes of secular fiction. A friend loaned me a Francine Rivers series and I have been hooked since.
Hi Syma!
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I love Francine Rivers, as well. The Mark of the Lion Trilogy may well be my favorite books ever. They are amazing.
I love Terri Blackstock as well. I've never read anything by Brandilynn Collins, but I hope to.
I have some books by Brandilynn Collins you may borrow. They are good!
