Today is just not my day.
First, my phone died over night. Well the battery died. This is only important because I use my phone as an alarm clock. That means, yes, I did not have an alarm clock go off. I had to quickly get dressed and skip a shower this morning. So I feel really icky. By the way, this is the second time my phone has done that....does this mean I need a new battery?
Then, I was buying something at Walgreens and instead of placing the item on the counter I, uh, threw it. Yes, I threw it. I have no idea how that happened. I think I was supposed to feel embarrassed. But truthfully, I just wanted to complete the transaction. After all, incidents such as these are not totally new to me. :)
I'm only halfway through the day.
I saw someone pawing through the garbage on the street today. Make sure you shred your credit card statements and make donations to the homeless.
How's your day been?

Sorry your day has been so rough! Not to make light of it, but you need to listen to Ross King's song, Why Me Lord? It will make you laugh and help you keep things in perspective. That's what it does for me, anyway!
I know how you feel. My cell phone dies frequently, also. Like, within 15 hours of being charged, it makes its pathetic little *Blip* for like two minutes, and is dead. New battery purchase is in our futures!
And don't feel bad about "throwing" your purchase on the counter. As a cashier, we realize that sometimes things slip out of a customer's hand more often than they are "thrown at us". Unless the cashier provoked you in some subconscious way.... jk!
Wake up temp (8:11ish AM):68 degrees
Temp now (5:50ish PM): 30 degrees and winds pushing 30 MPH
Gotta luv StL weather, huh? Snow is on the way for Thurs and Fri (at least 4 inches the man on TV says)! WOOOOOOOOO! BRRRRRRRRRR!
I'm sorry it wasn't a good day, Amy. Your title reminded me of a song by a certain friend of ours.
My cell phone is on the fritz, too. I dropped it the other night and the antenna fell out. Now it doesn't want to stay put and I keep dropping calls. Contract isn't up until August!
I think your friend Jen's weather has moved to Indiana! I was comfortably wearing a sweatshirt in about 50 degrees to my son's game at 6pm and it's freezing now at 11pm, down to 17! And snow flurrying! We had a tornado warning around 7:30 and had to retreat to the basement for awhile. Crazy Indiana weather..they always say if you don't like the weather here, wait a few minutes...it'll change.
Hope your day tomorrow is much better. I'll be praying for you tonight.
Thanks for your kind words everyone!
Sadly, MitC, I don't that song and couldn't find it on youtube!
Jen, thanks for giving me some forgiveness! Sounds cold there! It's stopped raining here.
I think cell phones are too expensive to go bad! Thanks for the prayers, Cristy, bundle up!
I may try to iJigg it on my site soon just for you!
