13 Books and Series I Would Reread if I had Time

1) All of the Harry Potter books. I would love to have the time to sit down and read them through in order again. I would undoubtedly pick up on new things and fall in love all over again.

2) The Mark of the Lion Trilogy by Francine Rivers. I actually do plan to re-read them at some point this year. It will be like reading them for the first time since it's been a good four years since I've read them.

3) The Circle Trilogy by Ted Dekker. It's only been a year since I read this, but I already forget it. I loved these books and Milk in the Closet's recent read of them has made me want to go back and read them again.

4) Lord of the Flies. I've been watching LOST on DVD which consequently has made me think of this book a lot. I think it would be interesting to read again. Plus, in high school when I wrote a comparison paper on this book and A Separate Peace I got an A+++. It was a shining moment in my academic career.

5) Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte. It's my favorite book.

6) Everything Hermann Hesse ever wrote. I was obsessed with him in high school and would like to go back and see if his books affect me the same way now.

7) The Vampire Diaries by L.J. Smith. Recently re-released and my favorite books in middle school, I think it would be fun to see if I still love them as much.

8) The Chronicles of Narnia. I know I read these books as a youngster but I remember nothing. Everyone always raves about them.

9) The Little House books. More books I read as a little girl. And when I say read, they were well-worn. I loved them so much, I'd love to read them again.

10) A Room Called Remember by Frederick Buechner. I read this last yearish and thought it was so wonderfully thought provoking and beautiful. There are still many of his other writings I need to read.

11) Can You Keep a Secret? by Sophie Kinsella. Maybe my favorite chick lit book EVER. I devoured this the first time in one sitting.

12) Laura Joh Rowland's Sano Ichiro series. I actually haven't read the three most recent, but I'd love to go back and dig into these all over again.

13) Reaching for the Invisible God by Philip Yancey. Another book that was rich and thought provoking and worth more than one read.

Have you read any of these books? Would you reread any of them? What would you reread if you had time?

My son read all of the Narnia books. I've read a few of the Little House books to my girls. We plan to read more. I can't usually stick with a whole series. I'm too impatient, I guess.

I have read the first three books of Harry Potter, I have lot of catch up to do :) I also love "The Little Hous" book. Used to re-read those books all the times.

In the past, at my blog I have done a post on "Recommend series Books", that I shared with the blogger. I used to do this once a month, but somehow I lost track hehe

I am two short on both the Chronicles of Narnia and the Harry Potter books.

I have the Vampire Chronicles sitting on the shelf behind me. I don't want to read them again. I want to feel the same way as I do about them. I still have very vivid visual memories about some parts, about what my mind saw when I was reading.

I own all the Little House books but have not read a single one although I often intend to.

I would really like to get some Kinsella books. Have never read one but have always wanted to.

Great TT. Thanks for sharing.

I loved the Little House books when little.

I LOVE LOVER LOVE Sophie Kinsella. In fact I just finished her new book Remember Me last night. I was seriously depressed when I read the last page that it was over. Sniff Sniff.

I want to reread many of these too! Particularly the Circle Trilogy (loved it!), the Chronicles of Narnia (I do plan to read Prince Caspian again before the movie comes out in May), Lord of the Flies, and Jane Eyre (both I read in high school, but I think I would get so much more out of them now). Oh, and I totally want to read the Little House books again, but probably won't until I have kids.

Amy, I just finished The Circle Trilogy last night. I was just a little disappointed with the ending of the series.

Thanks for stopping by all!

Alexis, I haven't read the book yet. It's sort of one of those things where I can't decide how quickly I want the experience to be over. What do you think of the casting for the Shopaholic movies?

Thomas, I would be interested in what you didn't like about the ending.

Julia...yes, you want to catch up on Harry Potter...though admittedly the third is my favorite.

Megan...yes you must read Sophie Kinsella, they are absolutely delightful!

Ronnica...good call on waiting till you have kids to reread the Little House books. It's a such a special time!

Amy - thanks for adding to my TBR list! I recommend you do read the little house books again at some point - there is a whole different perspective to them when you read them as an adult.

I have read all the Harry Potter books, but I’m not sure if I want to reread any of them. Lord Of The Flies was the first book I had to read at my new school when I was thirteen. I haven’t read it since but I suspect I’d enjoy it just as much today, if not more.

Leah--my pleasure! :)

Nicholas--I think I might enjoy Lord of the Flies more the second time around as well.

Kat--aren't they wonderful? :)
