Ok.
Currently, I'm favoring Brooke and David Archuleta. Truly, I like a lot of the guys, though. This is typical for me. I always prefer the males to females, though I was a huge Melinda fan. She was an obvious exception.

First off I need to say I really, really, really, really like Brook and I think she has a good chance at making it to the top two. None of the girls are really knocking me out.
I really like Jason Castro for the guys but I don't hear his name floating around very much.
I think David H. could make the top two but he is also so good he will probably get a record deal no matter what at this point (don't you think??) I really like the two rocker guys, they would make a supreme top two.
And I thought Blake sounded awful. Am I being harsh?
Blake sounded very typical Blakish, but the guys this season are very good. My favorite is David Hernandez, but David Cook did an outstanding job. The girls are just so-so. I like Brooke because she is different and natural.

Mom..David Cook is one I've liked since his audition.
I am loving the guys this season. And for once I am happy with the top 12, with a few female exceptions.
Final two? Wow that's tough. David Archuletta and maybe Carly. However Michael Johns or David Cook maybe up there too.
I still stand by my earlier assertion that overall, this is the most talent-rich Idol season out of any so far.
I think there are at least four or five different people that could win it. It's going to depend on song selection and week-to-week performance more than ever before. Certainly, the more charismatic and consistent performers will have a better chance in the long run. Building a solid fan base of voters will count for a lot in a competition with this much talent.
I'm feeling pretty non-committal, but since you asked, I'll try and pick an ideal and likely Top 2. Let's see:
Ideal -- Brooke and Michael
Actual -- David Archuleta and Carly
I can think of a couple more who can or should also be Top 2. I think as the weeks go on, consistency and song choice will determine who rises and falls. These early picks we're making could easily turn out to be way off.
Regarding Blake -- I never really thought he was all that great anyway, and still don't after seeing that. I like the weird digital-effects things he can do with his voice and the beat-boxing, but that only takes you so far.
Well, CH you mentioned the exact four that Randy and Paula apparently did! Well done!

Amy - No, I'm not blocking anybody on my blog. What exactly happened when you tried to comment? Was there a specific error message?
I've noticed that Blogger has been a little sluggish and undependable lately. I've had brief times where nothing on Blogger would show up at all -- instead, there was just a generic Google error message. Other times, comments were broken. And so forth.
But I want to make sure there's not actually something on my setup that is broken and causing problems. Thanks!

It was really weird. It just wouldn't accept it. I'd never had that happen before and it was only on your blog! I just kept hitting publish and it wouldn't. Weird, huh?
If you don't mind me asking -- what operating system and browser are you using when this happens? Is it still doing it now? Does everything on the site look "normal" to you, or are some things weird or tweaky? Thank you.
