Since the overwhelming number of people chose Mexican as their favorite food (really?) and I, um, forgot to list Italian as an option, here' s your chance to make it right. Tell me which is better and what your favorite dish is.
Which one will win? I'm so excited!

Mexican Vs. Italian

Mexican. I can eat it all the live long day!!
I'm a big fan of flautas. Of course, I could live off of chips & salsa though.
Okay, even though we had tacos for dinner now I want some chips and salsa...
I think Italian wins in my book (but you knew I was going to vote that way anyway didn't you? :) My favorite is any kind of pasta with sauce. Yum! Lasagna, fettuccine, (and sheesh, apparently I can't spell either of those words!) and raviolis, yum!
Italian. Always.
Italian, hands down.
While my husband and I thoroughly enjoy mexican food, we joke that the restaurant's kitchen is probably just a big buffet back there. Same ingredients prepared differently, slap on some rice and beans...
Of course, I guess some could argue that italian food is the same. Different pastas, two or three different sauces, add some bread and a salad...hmmmm, there goes that argument!
Italian, if I had to choose between the two. And, um, Italian fare has MUCH more to offer than mere pasta, though pasta is a major theme. How about the many wonderful poultry dishes, or sausage and potato dishes? My favorite Italian food: gnocchi (potato pasta, AM!) or a massive and hearty lasagna, and also chicken cacciatore! MMMMMM!!!!
And I was the one who voted Middle Eastern (I assumed this category would cover Indian as well). Fav dish: spinach and paneer, or a fab potato curry, or samosas!!!!
ah Jen, I do love gnocchi. I agree that Italian...when done right, trumps Mexican any day. Though I do love Mexican, too. And Indian since I forgot that one, too.
I was saddened no one chose Japanese. I'm thinking of a starting a series of posts on good food. I would definitely be highlighting some Japanese food like suki yaki (my personal favorite) and teppanyaki. YUM.
