This little intro video is beyond cheesy! Ha! Love it! (I have a feeling it's going to be an exclamation point night. The Davids are sharing their love. The Nokia is not quite as cool as the Kodak, huh?

David Cook is singing a U2 song! I think this is the first time ever on Idol for a U2 song, besides Idol gives back last year.
COOK: "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" Not a bad performance, but admittedly, it's a bit tough to tackle a U2 song. (though churches seem to do it all the time.) Paula is so cheesy. Well the judges liked it better than me! Don't get me wrong, I love David!
ARCHULETA: "Don't Let the Sun Go Down on You" This is a perfect song choice for him. It really fits his style. That was fantastic. Um, I may not have loved it as much as the judges, but I do think it was a great performance.
Simon's annoying round call goes to Archuleta.
Oh goody! The songwriting competition songs!
COOK: Actually, this isn't as bad as some past coronation songs! Probably because Cookie is able to put his own sound to it. Not bad. Simon says some not nice things .

ARCHULETA: Undoubtedly these songs will be more sorted to Archie. Yep, I was right. Still kinda lame, though. Sorry songwriter.
I disagree on Simon's call, I preferred Cookie this round.
COOK: LOVE. THIS. SONG. This is David Cook, you know, this is who he is. Maybe it's not a soaring ballad, but it's a great song. And I'll buy his CD. And if he doesn't win, he still better be a great star. He's overcome by emotion. We love you David. I do see what Simon's saying.
ARCHULETA: He's resurrecting his famous song. It was good. But I would have loved to hear something new. :)
I think Archuleta will win. He has the really important tweener vote. The people who can send 14,000 text messages. But I love David Cook, and he's already won in my heart. (wasn't that cheesy?)
So I love David Cook. But I predict Archuleta for the win.

I have gotten through 7 times for David Cook with only 37 minutes left to vote. ((yawm))
I love David C. I love everything about him. His personality. His nerdiness. His emotions. His style,. His voice. And oh wow his looks. David A has an amazing voice, but he has from day 1. I have seen no improvement. Whereas David C is like a caterpillar going into a butterfly.
Fingers crossed for David C.
Favorite of all time is Carrie. Except if DC wins. Then it will be him.
Sill love Carrie Underwood. David C seems real. David A doesnt seem to know how to act at all on stage. I love that about him but man, David Cs voice rocks. hes has taken some old favorites and made them aliev again
My husband and I both looked at each other when they showed Chris Daughtry. Did they think we wouldn't remember the fact that he didn't win the competition.
My favorite Idol of all time would have to be Kelly Clarkson.
Ha! I'm glad everyone else noticed the Daughtry thing, too. Really, his success has cheapened the suspense of the Finale a lot, since you obviously don't need to win the competition to succeed in the biz. Oh well.
Both Davids should do well after this, the degree of exposure it provides and the fan base it builds are gigantic.
I preferred DC's performances, creativity, and willingness to do something new over DA's more "safe" approach. But both can definitely sing. Each is going to do well with the demographic and genre that suits him.
I would probably say Kelly Clarkson is my favorite Idol winner thus far.
oooooh, favorite Idol of all time? So tough, but I'm going with Kelly Clarkson. It's hard to beat the original, although Carrie Underwood sure has given it her all.
I voted for DC 10 times, even thought I know Archuleta will win. Oh well, DC still will have success. I ain't mad at 'em!
I'm with you on this. I love David Cook and as much I would love for him to win, I think Archuleta will take the title.
