It was a crazy reading week for me. I realized Monday that to meet my current reading goals, I was going to have to read a book a day. I did it! But I barely read anything Saturday and don't plan to read much today either.
First of all, the Olympics are distracting. I am able to read with them on in the background, but I'm still interested in watching certain events.
Secondly, I enjoy other recreational activities apart from reading, and I need time for them as well. For example, today I plan to go to see The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2! Sort of book related, but not really because I've never read those books!
I reviewed Bad Twin for the Lost Books Challenge, Finding Stefanie, and That's (Not Exactly) Amore which includes a giveaway still going on, so check it out!
Also, if you're a book blogger, I hope you will register for Book Blogger Appreciation Week. (click on the link for more details) Over 75 bloggers have registered so far! I think it's going to be a great event!

Hey, I'm new to your blog but I can't wait to register for the Book Blogger-mabob. I talk about other things besides books but I don't think that matters. I'll be back again soon.
I am way behind my reading. However, I am comfortable with it. Sometimes one bneeds a break from it. Right now I am taking it!
Do check out my Sunday Salon posts :D
SS 1: Review of The Dark Child
SS 2: Musings about books
The Olympics have been distracting, I agree. I hadn't really expected to get into them this year, but evidently I was misleading myself in that regard.
Reading a book a day sounds wonderful. I wish I could manage that.
I read Bad Twin when it first came out (I couldn't wait--it was a spin off from LOST after all) and I enjoyed it quite a bit. It was fun trying to guess who the author was, I remember. Of course, now it's no longer a secret.
I hope you have a great week!
Great news about meeting your current reading goals! :)
Congrats on meeting your reading goals! Always such a thrill when that happens. =)
The olympics have been distracting me too. I haven't really paid much attention to the previous few years but I have found myself sucked into this one. So many amazing athletes!
I am way behind too. Not the Olympics that have been distracting me so much as just life. The kids started back to school and work really got busy.
Way to go on meeting your goals!!
I didn't think I was going to meet my goal (75 books for 2008) but after counting last week I only need 6 more books! But I am behind on my A-Z and Canadian challenges.
I really wish that Lost had started at a better time in my life. Ally was a colicky newborn and I didn't want to live, let alone watch a show about other trapped people. ;) That's all better now, but I am completely behind. Did they have a lot of books with them when they got stranded?
A book a day! My goodness you were busy.
