The Sunday Salon

Sunday has pretty much become my reading day. I do read throughout the week, but usually never get any reading done on Saturday, I enjoy using Sunday as a chance to jump start my reading for the week.

I got less read this past week due to my schedule being changed all around with jury duty and some training so I am feeling really behind.

I did get some reviews posted this week
Twilight by Stephenie Meyer
Anatomy of a Boyfriend by Daria Snadowsky
The Tenth Case by Joseph Teller
Through the Storm by Lynne Spears

Also the wonderful Megan Crane stopped by The Friendly Book Nook for Saturdays in the Nook, our weekly feature celebrating a love for reading. Her entry is one of my favorites yet. I hope you'll check it out.

I am currently reading Field of Blood by Eric Wilson which is .....a Christian vampire novel. I've been really excited about this book, and it's a different sort of read so far. I'll be reviewing it next week at The Friendly Book Nook as part of our spooky book reviews fest. On this blog, I'll have a review of The Almost Archer Sisters for you this week and hopefully many more depending on what I get read. ;)

Will you be reading spooky/scary books this week? What's on your reading agenda?

I don't get much read on Saturdays during the fall, either, because of college football. It's another one of my loves.

I might get a bit of reading done on Saturday morning before jumping out of bed but Sunday is a good reading day for me too. As to spooky reading, I have quite a pile of books to read but not one ghost or ghoulie in the bunch.

I've always used Sunday as my day to 'jump start' my reading as well. If I can get far enough into a book on Sunday then it doesn't matter if I have a large number of interruptions during the rest of the reading I won't lose the thread of what is happening.

I hadn't planned to read any books fitting for the Halloween season, but it seems I have despite myself. :-) That's not a bad thing though.

I seem to get most of my reading done on Sundays too. I do try and fit in reading during the week, but I am not always so lucky--at least not in any big way. I can usually get a minute or two here and there.

I hope you have a great week, Amy!

Christian vampire fiction? I have been kicking around writing a post about the whole vampire (and assorted others) genre and what is the draw. I am definitely going to want to read your review on this book.
