Book Giveaway: The Girl Who Stopped Swimming by Joshilyn Jackson

I'm giving away a copy of The Girl Who Stopped Swimming by Joshilyn Jackson as part of the Book Giveaway Carnival.

I chose this book for two important reasons. The first is that it's a fantastic book. The second is that it's a book about poverty.

While it's a book about different kinds of poverty, it fits into the fact that this week a bunch of really cool bloggers are in the Dominican Republic seeing poverty firsthand with Compassion International. A kind of poverty we don't really see in the United States. So as you go about and frantically enter all the book giveaways this week, I also encourage you to visit this site and read along with these bloggers as they encounter hope in the midst of dire circumstances. And maybe open up your heart to sponsor a child.

To enter this giveaway, just leave me a comment with a valid email address. This is open worldwide. I will draw a winner on Friday. For three extra entries, subscribe to the RSS feed for the Dominican Trip and leave me a separate comment telling me you have done so. And don't forget to enter more giveaways!

ETA: Comments in blogger seem to be having some issues. IF you can't leave a comment please enter via this contact form. Thanks!

I've heard a lot about this book and I've been meaning to get a copy but it's always out-of-stock here.

I live in a 3rd world country and poverty (in its truest sense of the word) here is at its lowest low.

It would be great to win a copy of this book.
