It's Christmas time and one of my favorite things to do is read Christmas themed books. Do you enjoy reading holiday themed books? Do you have any special book you read every year? Do you have a special devotional you like to use? (not fiction..I know!) Have you read any good Christmas books this year?
My Thoughts: Well, I already said I love to read them and I actually really enjoy Christmas romances. I don't read a book every year because there are always so many new ones to discover and enjoy. I did buy an advent devotional this year, but forgot to use it!! I read The Spy Who Came for Christmas and I loved it!

I feel horrible but I have never enjoyed a Christmas read. I look forward to everyone's suggestions!
Thanks again Amy for always keeping things fresh!

Timely topic!
I do enjoy a Christmas story if it feels like it flows naturally. I've read some that try too hard to make you "feel" the Christmas spirit. The best one I've read in a long time was "Engaging Father Christmas" by Robin Jones Gunn. "Finding Father Christmas" was good (read that last year) but the next one was better.)Right now I'm reading "A Cedar Cove Christmas" by Debbie Macomber and it's pretty good so far. I have a ton of "Christmas themed" Barbour books. And last, I read "White Christmas Pie" by Wanda Brunstetter which I thought was blah and seemed contrived to me. That's one that tried too hard and it was obvious to me.
Oh - I LOVE a good holiday book - even Holiday Non-Fiction like cooking for the holidays and crafts!! :) I've read some great ones so far this year.
Here's my answer!

You sound like me. I tend to forget about books I purchase too. :) I'm hoping I can get "Finding Noel" read.
After reading Engaging Father Christmas I am open to reading more like that. Otherwise, I havent really read much before that. Great question!
I'm in the middle of Finding Father Christmas...first ever Christmas read for me!
