I've had a major new assignment given to me at work and I haven't been feeling well all week. So this space should be occupied by a book review, but it hasn't happened. In its place I offer a discussion question. What is your favorite version of your favorite Christmas song?

"White Christmas" - Bing Crosby
The Little Drummer Boy with Bing Crosby and David Bowie-makes me weep with the beauty of their two voices.
Has to be "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" by Bruce Springsteen.
For traditional Christmas songs, I love Mariah Carey's version of "O Holy Night." It's mindblowingly good. On a more unorthodox note, Sarah McLachlan's version of Joni Mitchell's "River"is quite lovely.
Just a little background music while you trim the tree or sip the nog... http://www.thedealis.com
O Holy Night by the Yale Whiffenpoofs, from the West Wing episode O Holy night. I have the Whiffenpoofs Christmas CD, but for some reason the version on TV is better, probably because it's longer!
O Come, O Come Emmanuel by Aaron Shust.
