Last summer, I hosted the Couch Potato Challenge during the summer months (when less new TV is on), but had low participation. I was thinking of doing a challenge based around award winning films this summer, but had a couple of other ideas. I have so enjoyed watching Supernatural and chatting about it with Elizabeth that I thought it might be fun to do something similar. If you'd be interested here are my ideas:
Hitchcock Films--we could choose the best ones and watch one a week and then post our thoughts on our blog or you can leave comments here. I love Alfred Hitchcock films and actually have seen most of them, but would love to revisit them and think they'd leave a lot to discuss.
Couch Potato Challenge or Challenge based around Award Winning Films--For this one, you'd choose your own movies and set your own pace.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer-- This is one of my favorite shows and I know a lot of my readers have never watched it. We could start with season one, vote on how many episodes to watch a week and then each post our thoughts on the episodes. Buffy definitely lends itself to discussion and to be honest, I would really LOVE to do this.
Dead Like Me I would really like to watch this series and own it already. So if anyone else is up for it...
Felicity--Um, I'm just throwing this one out there because it's another one of my favorite shows and I'd love to watch it again.
Please vote and let me know in comments if you're interested in one of these. I think this would be so much fun, and I know it's not book related, but I think we all love good stories. Also, if you're excited or interested in this idea, please spread the word!! I would love to just have a ton of fun with this, and am willing to put a lot of work into making it happen if people are interested. Of course, I'm going to continue discussing Supernatural with Elizabeth.

I have never heard of "Dead Like Me" ....One of my favorite shows that was short lived was "American Gothic"! I love Hitchcock..that would be fun to watch a bunch of his movies!
I like the Couch potato challenge...I have some movies I would love to see...or some I would love to watch again :o)

Couch potato challenge would work for me, I even OWN award-winning movies that I haven't seen yet. I'd also totally be up for watching Felicity with you. I adore that show. Would have to wait until I was in the US to buy the DVDs though because they're not available here. Actually, I'd also watch Buffy - that's available here and I've never seen it before!
This sounds terrific. I have a very hard time sitting for a movie, so I haven't seen very many. I guess I should be embarrassed about not seeing many Hitchcock ones. I might have seen VERTIGO now that I think about it. At least with the Hitchcock movies, my husband might watch them with me.
I voted, and I'll try to join in. We spend a lot of time outside in the summer, so I'm not sure how much movie watching I'll get done, but I like the idea.
I'm not much for TV, so I'm not sure I would participate in any of these challenges. I can watch a movie at the theater, but I just get too distracted at home.
Love the idea and I LOVE Buffy but I haven't seen it for ages and I agree it's great to discuss.

I loved Buffy, and haven't watched it in years!! There would certainly be plenty to chat about. :)
I've seen a few episodes of Dead Like Me and love that show too.

To be honest, I'm really bad at challenges, so I probably wouldn't participate in watching, but if you discussed Buffy I would chime in to comment.
I would be up for everything except maybe Felicity. My first pick is Hitchcock. I think those would be great to discuss.

Though I don't watch much TV/films, I just started watching my favorite series ~ Firefly ~ again. I love it and hate that it's only one season's worth.
I wouldn't mind watching Buffy again ~ one of the first seasons, anyway.
I voted for Hitchcock films but I might be up for Buffy if that wins. My friend's husband has the set on dvd and he wants to lend them to me.
I would love to participate in whatever, but I voted for Buffy. Never watched is. Always thought it sounded so dumb. BUT, so many of you seem to LOVE it so, my guess is, I'll love it too and wonder whatever was I thinking!
Hitchcock films for sure. I LOVE classic creepy, mental movies!
Catching up on my google reader - just seen this. I voted for Buffy, but I own all of both Buffy and Felicity plus have access to Dead Like Me. Some of my favourite shows right there!
