Hello and welcome to all Bloggiesta participants looking to add to their massive to-do lists! I'm thrilled to accommodate you in that quest!
Personally, I think this will be the most fun of all the challenges! But I bet every mini-challenge is saying that. :)
Do You Have a Blogging Buddy?
And by blogging buddy I don't mean a buddy who is also a blogger or a blogger you especially like. I mean a blogger you can turn to when:
1) You need advice
2) You need feedback
3) You need to vent
4) You need link support or someone to help with your projects.
5) The list goes on.
I have two blogging buddies who have been fantastic. They have provided me with support, let me know if something is broken on my blog, and let me vent or think things through.
Find a Blogging Buddy!
What are you waiting for?!? You know you want a blogging buddy! So to complete this challenge, here's what you need to do:
1) Go read the article on blogging buddies at Pro Blogger.
2) Think through who you can ask to be your blogging buddy. You probably want someone you are already comfortable with who blogs in the same community as you.
3) Send that person an email and ask them to be your blogging buddy.
4) Come back here and tell me in comments that you completed the task! (If for some reason you cannot leave a comment, you can email me at mypalamyATgmailDOTcom)
Giveaway
Everyone who participates has a chance to win! I'm giving away a My Friend Amy tote bag, keychain, and pen and a copy of the book, Google Blogger for Dummies, along with your choice of a book off of a list of gently used books that will be sent to you after you have been announced the winner! Please be sure that there is some way to contact you via your comments.

Amy, I'm not doing the Bloggiesta, so I'm not eligible for this, but I wanted to tell you that there is another blogger who I consider to be my "Blogging Buddy" and your post inspired me to send her a message.
Thanks to twitter, I think I have abotu 20 blogging buddies! I'll narrow down the list and will send a few of them an email to make it "official"!
I'm not participating either -- too much going on, but I wanted to say that this is just the cutest idea for a post. You are definitely going to make quite a few people smile today with this on!
I'm not participating, way too much going on currently. But I am a lone wolf when it comes to book blogging. That's why I started in the first place. My friends are not as into books as I am.
Now I do have a knit blogging buddy, but the both of have slacked on that blog. Oh well!
Good luck with your challenge Amy! Look forward to reading your posts. As Always :)
Seriously, book blogging buddies is one of the greatest ideas! My "official" book blogging buddies even took a look at my Bloggiesta post before I posted to make sure it made sense. I heart them!
I have quite a few blogging buddies, though no one who actually reads my posts before I read them or anything. More like people who are always up for some co-projects and such. Will have to send them a mail thanking them personally :)
Haha...I do need someone to read my comments before I POST them though...
I sent an email to a blogger asking them to be my blogging buddy. She’s already really encouraging to me; this’ll just make it official! (This one does look like the most fun out of all the mini-challenges! :)

Okay, I now have a specific Blogging Buddy. We're thinking about getting matching necklaces or charm bracelets. ;)
And, of course, I also have the Blogging Tips group on Book Blogs!
I've done this one too, and I happen to be the one and the same blogging buddy who is thinking of getting the matching charm bracelet :D. with her blogging buddy Britt.
I already had a blogging buddy or two, but none of them who had a book blog. Then I met (literally) Pam (@bookaliciouspam on twitter) and I can't tell you what a difference it's made in my confidence and desires to make my blog better.
She and her husband Marco are generous, kind, and understand my goals and are more than willing to help me achieve them.
They take my n00bness in stride and are nearly excited as I am to move on to the next level.
I just want to say though, that many people I follow through my reader and on twitter have given me inspiration too. Even though I don't call them a "buddy", what they do and how they do it continually make me feel like this community is a good one to be a part of.
This is great. I'm such a newbie to having niche blogs...I feel like I don't know what I'm doing half the time and I've gotten a lot of inspiration from the twitter gals! But don't know if I'm ready for a buddy. (Bites nails!) *Will they like me??** lol. I'll give it some thought though and repost if I get brave and ask someone!
I pretty new to blogging so I haven't had much time yet to develop an unofficial blogging buddy. It sounds like something I could really use though. I wonder who'll have me . . .
My blogging buddy is my friend Adrienne here in my own home town. Her husband and her own a bed and breakfast and she blogs on all sorts of topics. She was thrilled when I emailed her today to ask her to buddy up with me. We kind of have been doing that anyway... we get together for bike rides and talk blogging and ideas to improve our sites. Thanks for the fun challenge!

I asked a few people if they would be my blogging buddies. :) That term is just so cute. Anyway, I think I have some good buddies now, which makes me happy. ^_^
I have twittered and emailed someone about being blogging buddies. I can't wait to have one. I need friends. (I'm so sad. . .)
Yep, I agree with Jenn! I have loads of blogging buddies on Twitter. Some of them are on MSN, and some I meet in real life, so yay!
I've only really started reaching out the book blogging community so don't know anyone really well. So thank you Amy for offering to be my blogging buddy :)
I have a great community to look to when I need help with a project or promotion or anything, really. We tend to use our listserv for that while I know you and your best peeps use Twitter.
I do have a blogging buddy to vent and share ideas with, but I went ahead and asked her all official-like. I think we're getting rings. ;)
I have a blog buddy now! It's actually one of my goodreads friends who advertised her blog, made me jealous and therefore I started my own blog about books. So I asked her to be my buddy and then I realized I just changed my template and it's the same as hers (falls over dead), but oh well, when I have the patience to find a different one, I'll get around to changing it (again).
So here's my blog buddy: http://bookingthrough365.blogspot.com/
Amy, What a great idea, but I am so new to this book blogging, I am still in the getting to know as many other sites as possible stage.
But I have to say that this community is so welcoming, I have had so many great and encouraging comments on the site, via email and on Twitter. I will start looking for that buddy soon!
Wow this is a great idea! I've definitely emailed two people who I already use to make them official "buddies". Thanks for the great idea...now crossing my fingers !
I think I found me some blog buddies. Thanks for the buddy challenge.
I love this idea! Instead of just 1 blogging buddy, I now have a blogging group! 6 of us are going to buddy together. I'm so glad to have these buddies!
Hi Amy,
I have posted about this mini challenge at my place, Just Books. I have sent out an email to the person and asked if they want to be buddies. When I hear from them I will add that to my post. Have a great day!
Sherrie
Hey, I got me a buddy - great idea. Thanks!
This is such a great idea, Amy! I send out a couple of "Will you be my blogging buddy?" emails, but haven't heard anything back yet. I feel really shy about asking bloggers I haven't met in person though!
I'm part of the group of 6 mentioned by shelburns above, and I'm excited to have people to work with! Thanks for giving us the courage to ask :-).
I emailed a blogging friend and asked her to be my blogging buddy! She said "Of course!", so Yvette is my blogging buddy! And I have completed this task! Great Idea! Thanks!

I have a blogging buddy!
I have a blogging buddy now. This is such a great mini challenge Amy. I am off to see if I can wrangle up perhaps another blogging budyy.
This sounds fun, but I don't really have anyone in particular in mind, so if anyone reads this and is in the same boat, feel free to shoot me an email. :)
I think I have a couple of blogging buddies. One actually used to help me with my blog until she got too busy with school.
I thought that the article was interesting too, mainly because it's a pretty common principle of publishing (right?) to have multiple eyes on a text? I think it's a great one to carry over to the blogging world, and makes A LOT of sense to me!
Thanks for this challenge. I don't know that I would have really thought of doing this so specifically.
I sent someone an email asking them to be my blogging buddy...details on my blog!
Hmmm...I feel so alone right now!! I wish I had time for the Bloggiesta, but of course, too much going on!
I have a few 'buddies' online. Nothing official. Guess I should "pop" the question!
I'm not participating in the Bloggiesta challenge - but your post got me to send a message to my best buddy to see if she would be my blogging buddy and she said of course. :) Thank you for the suggestion!
Now to figure out if I want to specialize the blog or not?
Thanks for this great challenge Amy. I've approached two other bloggers and have had one reponse agreeing to becoming book blog buddies.
Wonderful challenge Amy!
Like most, I already have an amazing cadre of buddies from which I can draw advice and guidance. I'm glad to say that through this challence I've been able to further those connections and added several more to my list. @writereader @bookingit @vasilly @booksandmovies and @awaitinserenity have made a buddy group.
Also I've created a bookblogging Twibe (found at http://www.twibes.com/group/bookblogging)which can be a form of buddying up just on a larger scale.
Thank you for a wonderful challenge!
OK its Official. Marie from The Burton Review and Sheri from A Novel Menagerie are Official Blogging Buddies.

The Burton Review and A Novel Menagerie
Yes, that's right! I'm going to be Marie's buddy... Cool, huh?
I don't know if it really counts, but I have several blogging buddies already that I go to whenever I need help or just need to talk or just want to share things with. :)
Thanks for your helpful hints, Amy. I have about three different blogging people I ask for help from, but for the purposes of this Bloggiesta, I have asked someone with another Word Press blog, since that's what I'm working on. She has been acting in this role of "blogging buddy" unofficially for awhile. And that person is Sheila (Journey through Books).
I'm so pleased to say that I already have several blogging buddies to check over my posts to make sure I'm not too harsh, to share link love with, and to create features with. I'll make sure to let them know I value them though! Thanks!
I have a few blogging buddies, but I become a lot closer with one thanks to bloggiesta. We have been chatting all weekend and helping each other out. It has been a lot of fun!
What a wonderful idea! I have book blogging friends and those who inspire me, but you made me realize I should tell them how much they motivate me and inspire me. Thank you!
This is one thing I didnt do last Bloggiesta. I was so new and didnt really know who to turn to. I actually had forgot about it until this weekends Bloggiesta but now I can say woo hoo - I have completed this challenge and have a Blog Buddy to assist when I am stuck or just need to scream. :)
I love this challenge! I have a couple of people I talk with all the time, but just never have made anything official of it. It's been a great experience and I am so glad to have a buddy now! Thanks!
I was a bit poopy about doing this one, and put it off. But it all worked out that I've got a Blog Buddy now, which is really cool :-) Thanks!
Thanks for this I have my blogging buddy which I am sure will make blogging even more fun.
Thanks for this great post. I have sent out a few emails in the hopes of finding some blogging buddies. This is a great ideas and I appreciate the information your provided.
I emailed a fellow blogger to make an official request to be buddies! I hope to hear back soon!
sithereandread (at) gmail (dot) com
Well, I have contacted 4 and now have 2 blogging buddies..just waiting to hear from the other two. What a great idea, thanks for sharing!

I have completed the task! :)
I have mailed one person who is on the same level, posts about the same subjects. So waiting to hear back :) I might contact more people when I know more people who fit the profile :)
I am so blessed to have my very own daughter as my blogger friend. She is the one that got me started and I really love it. The only problem is, that she told me that if she was going to help me with my blog, her Daddy was going to have to get her a mac laptop. Now she is only 35 and is still spoilt. Also, she told me that she was no good after 10:00p.m. and as you can see, I stay up rather late. I have a mother-in-law that I have to stay alert for during the night.
I sent her an email. Eep! I hope she accepts. :D I also asked someone else to join my site as a reviewer! Thanks for the tips.
Blogging buddies, I think I underestimated the value of having one. I have primarily been doing this blogging thing by myself but recently I have been reaching out for help It's difficult to figure out this crazy scene all by yourself. Count me in as completing the tasks. I felt so good sending those e-mails out!
I asked my awesome bloggy friend Crayon Wrangler to be mine. We have a great camaraderie, and we work well together.
