"Every leaf speaks bliss to me, fluttering from the autumn tree." Emily Bronte
Welcome to the first annual (hopefully) fall festival recipe exchange! And Happy Thanksgiving to my Canadian friends!
I absolutely love Autumn! I love everything about it..the drop in the temperature, the sweater weather, the trees changing colors...and the food!!!
Today, for your consideration, I have a very easy recipe that probably many of you know already and doesn't require much work. My favorite kind! :)
Pumpkin Dump Cake
Here's What You Need:
1 (29 oz) can of Pumpkin
1 cup of sugar
1 (13 oz) cup of evaporated milk
3 eggs
4 tsp. of pumpkin pie spices
1/2 tsp. of salt
1 box of yellow cake mix
3/4 cups of melted butter
1 cup chopped pecans
Here's What You Do!
First you're going to combine the pumpkin, sugar, evaporated milk, eggs, pumpkin pie spices and salt in a mixing bowl. Beat well. Pour this lovely mixture into a greased 9x13 glass pan. Sprinkle cake mix over the pumpkin mixture and then sprinkle in the pecans. Pour melted butter over it. Bake at 350 degrees for 50-60 minutes. When you stick the knife into the center and it comes out clean, you're good to go! Make sure you keep an eye on it at the end as it'll burn easily. This will make tons of goodies for you (or 12-15 people) to enjoy!
Now I want to find out all about yours! I think I'll try to make as many of them as possible. :)
Just drop your permalink in the Mister Linky and be prepared to be hungry all day as you visit everyone else's recipes!

I love dump cake - I make one for almost every party I attend. Never saw it with pumpkin, though...I can't wait to try this recipe! Thanks!
I have never heard of dump cake before, but it looks delicious.
I was out of town all weekend - I'll try to get my recipe typed up today.
Fall is my favorite season. It's also my favorite time to cook, given I'm a complete cooking nerd unless I make soups or breads.
I love pumpkin in just about everything- pie, cake, muffins!
This sounds so easy and yummy!! I am definitely going to have to try it! What a fun idea with the recipe exchange!! I will have to sort through my recipes...
Amy. My waist is expanding already and I just started looking at recipes. They all look so yummy!!! We're all going to have to go on diets this Winter! Game on!
Sounds awesome! Great challenge, too!

I'm a little late, but still in on the 12th!!! I had a hard time narrowing down to one, so I posted three!! Enjoy!! I can't wait to read everyone else's too!! And, to think that I was trying to lose some weight!! :)
I need to find my recipe for pumpkin roll... it is so good! I havent made it in a couple years but you have inspired me to dig it out.
I'm a day late, but I have my recipe up.
What an awesome idea. I have seen a lot of recipes lately that are made with pumpkin. The only thing I ever eat with pumpkin in it is pumpkin pie. Your recipe sounds awesome. I am going to save this page to my favorites so I can come back to it and check everyone's recipes out. :)
Great idea. thanks
This is a terrific idea! I was just telling my husband that I need to find some new fall recipes, and so the timing is perfect.
I can't wait to try everyone's recipes. Thanks for organizing this.
This is a family favorite and one of the first fall recipes I make every year. Thanks for hosting this event. I have found so many new recipes to try!
My recipe's an absolute mess, but this was such a fun idea!
(It's only a mess because of how I wrote it up. The end result is fabulous.)
I've made dump cake with a cake mix, butter and fruit, but never with pumpkin. Sounds good!
We have a Thanksgiving Pot Luck for our November book group...Pumpkin Dump Cake will be my contribution! What a great idea!
I LOVE dumpcake and this sounds too good to pass up!
Thanks for hosting this, Amy. I had a lot of fun seeing everyone's recipes.
