Much the same way I now get excited when I find out my favorite books are being made into movies, I was thrilled and excited to watch The Baby-sitters Club TV show...even if the actresses looked nothing like I imagined my beloved baby-sitters to look like. (And Dawn, my favorite baby-sitter was kind of annoying.)
Looking back....well I have to admit there were just a bit cheesy. And...I think I even knew it at the time! :)
Let's take a trip down memory lane shall we?
Today, the trip down memory lane continues as Alita reviews The Truth About Stacey and Shannon reviews the book that started it all, Kristy's Great Idea!

I wonder if I can find these for Booking Daughter. I had no idea there was a tv show!
I was way to old for these books when they came out and didn't even know they'd made a TV series from them.
Oh my gosh, just reading the title of your post I immediately knew you'd have the video, and I now have the song stuck in my head, even before watching it!
I don't think I every saw the TV show, which is crazy because I totally would have been into that. We did have the movie though, and for a brief period even the board game. I was so heartbroken when we lost it at camp, a month after we got it!
I have my review up now :)
THERE WAS A SHOW?!!!! I had no idea!
This brings back memories. It's been a long time since I've seen these.
I loved the babysitters club! I think my mom still has all my old books. In fact, I loved the club so much I've started my own babysitters club company. Findthebestnanny.com is an online babysitting agency. It's funny when you look back at your life what decisions effected your future.
I had great fun checking these out of my library last spring. They are truly a trip down memory lane!
Ok, so why do I remember the lyrics? Kinda frightening!
Oh god. My brother used to make fun of me for watching the show. I loved the books so much that I couldn't not watch the show. Even though it was pretty terrible, and like you said, none of the girls looked like how I thought they should look!
