In addition to pretty much all things Christmas, I also have a softness for the melancholy little Charlie Brown and all of his friends. So as you can imagine, A Charlie Brown Christmas is, well, special.
What a Charlie Brown Christmas gives us, besides a reminder of what Christmas is all about, and the most loveable and pathetic Christmas tree ever, is the wonderful song, Christmastime is Here.
Did you know we almost never heard this song? Those meddling network executives almost kept it from us! Luckily they didn't, and we now have this rich Christmas tradition!
I love this song because it captures the sweetness of Christmas with just a tinge of melancholy....

Three cheers for Charlie Brown! I record all of the Christmas shows for the kids and this one is probably my favorite. I just love listening to it.
I love this song! Toni Braxton also has a very soulful version of it on her Christmas cd.
So I was planning to come here and tell you that every time I see this post in my reader I hear the song from Charlie Brown in my head, but evidently that was exactly what you intended, so now I'm not sure what to say, other than maybe Happy Advent!
