Happy Resurrection weekend, everyone! I hope you have the chance to reflect on the great love of Jesus this weekend and what His death and resurrection mean.
In fact, that's today's topic....what does Easter mean to you this year? Heavy on the faith not on the fiction. ;)
Feel free to answer in comments or write a post on your own blog and leave the link in commments.
To be completely honest, I've spent little time thinking about Easter this year and felt a little bit shocked when I realized it was already here. I do not observe Lent, one of the things I love best about my form of evangelical Christianity is just how free it is....there is little in the way of structured form. That's not to say I think it's better or anything...it just works for me.
Having said that, I am deeply thankful for rebirth this year. I love that while we are new creations in Christ, we are also being made new everyday. This is a comforting reminder, that while His work on my behalf is finished, His work in me is not. In a year, I will not be the same person I am today. I also am thankful for new beginnings and for the treasured people who help to make them possible...you know who you are.
I look forward to reading your responses.
