Harper Collins just sort of dropped the news that they're acquiring Thomas Nelson on Twitter yesterday. Strange as it may sound, I was shocked. I did not anticipate this happening at all, and I still don't know what to make of it. I always thought Thomas Nelson tried to be forward thinking and do new things in the publishing world and I'm not sure how that's going to change or WHAT is going to change. Harper Collins already owns Zondervan and I just have this feeling that the world is being made smaller.

Google Reader changed their format and I am enraged. I do not adjust well to change, and I also like my little method of sharing items in google reader with notes which is no longer available. Is it just me or is everything bigger and less boxier? I miss the boxes. I feel like they're trying to force us to use google plus which I'm sorry but there were a lot of advantages to the previous system and google plus is not exactly ready to become a force yet. I don't know what to doooo. I guess I will be on the lookout for a new feed reader it's probably about time I did a major clean-out and reorganization of mine as it is.

Tony LaRussa is retiring! I don't blame him in a way, coming off of that awesome season the Cardinals had is the best way to go out.
