Hey everyone! I hope you all had restful holidays!

First of all, I'm not sure I ever mentioned this, but after three years I've stepped down from the INSPYs. There's a new team in charge now (well with one veteran from our original days!) with fresh energy and ideas I'm sure! They've opened nominations so make sure you get your nominations in if you have them. All the best to them!

I posted a lot right before Christmas when no one is reading blogs so I just wanted to link to them again even though I know it's still a downtime!

Additionally, the War & Peace carnival is now open! You have until New Year's Eve to post something awesome. I hope to get a few posts up as well!

Also, I really loved Jenny's post about fandom and trying to maintain a Lucky Me attitude. Of course, I also know what it's like to have something you love go completely wrong and how disappointing it is. I KNOW. But at the same time, I feel like there is often an expectation of perfection from fans and that is never going to happen. As I said in comments at Jenny's, it's the reason I can usually only dip my toes into fandoms because quite plainly, I enjoy *liking* things. And sometimes I have to protect that.

Did you guys get books for Christmas? Or anything else special? Any books you're trying to cram into the last few days of the year?
